| Date: 28 July 2010 - Author: VivaNews | | VIVAnews - The Indonesian government are willing to reduce carbon emission by 75 percent compared to last year. | "Among five other countries, Indonesia has been the most recognized one (to reduce carbon emission)," said Minister for the Economy Hatta Rajasa in Jakarta today, July 28.
Therefore, according to Hatta, several countries have committed to offer debt swap in addition to Norway, which is to donate US$1 billion for the REDD+ program.
"The trust given by the international community is due to Indonesia's serious commitment in drawing action plans," said Hatta. |
